The Rhett Bell Scholarship Foundation is a public nonprofit 501(c)(3) foundation formed to help children and adults learn to their potential.
The employees of Lindamood-Bell and Gander Publishing volunteered together to author a family recipe cookbook as a fund-raiser for the Rhett Bell Scholarship Foundation. To learn more about this great book, click here: Bib's Apron Family Cookbook.
Here are three recent stories of some students that the Rhett Bell Foundation has helped.

"Jesse was a recipient of the Rhett Bell Scholarship this summer and he made phenomenal gains. Everyone loved working with Jesse. If not for the scholarship, his father would not have been able to afford our instruction." ~ Learning Center Director

"Trusten received a scholarship and with funds from elsewhere was able
to get needed instruction. His progress was incredible! His mom hopes to bring
him back next summer to continue instruction. He absolutely loved coming here
and misses us terribly. He even calls us from time to time. This was quite a
change for his mom who told me stories about how Trusten hated to go to school.
He would stack furniture in front of his door so his mom couldn't get in to
force him to go to school. His mom quit her job and homeschooled Trusten for
over a year because he refused to go to school. It had become such a painful
place for him. Trusten truly is a different boy and watching the transformation
has been touching and inspiring for everyone in our Learning Center. He holds
a very special place in my heart and I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity
to work with him. The Rhett Bell scholarship he received gave his family the
start they needed so treatment here could become an option for them. Thank you
to the Rhett Bell Scholarship Foundation" ~ Learning Center Director

We just finished treatment with a student named Matthew. He is 6 and high functioning
Autistic. While his test scores aren't great, the qualitative gains that we,
and the parents, saw are amazing. Matthew truly became another child! Matthew
came to our Learning Center 2 hours a day for 15 weeks (160 hours). Below are
some things his father noted for us after 10 weeks:
-improvement consistent
-spontaneous initiation of conversation, especially with other children in social
situations.
-appropriate responses to questioning
-very noticeable increase in inquisitiveness towards the world around him.
His school specifically noticed:
-asking questions
-better recall
-ability to understand abstract concepts.
Matthew's parents are huge supporters of our programs. They talk to EVERYONE about it! They are a so grateful for the time Matthew was able to spend with us and never miss an opportunity to tell us and say thank you.
Thank you,
Jackie
